More than downtown El Paso’s newest dining destination, Ámbar Restaurante also reveals a culinary narrative that mixes Mexican cultures, traditions, centuries-old-ingredients, and modern presentations.

Conveniently located on the lobby level of The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park, the open-kitchen concept lends itself to a spectacular dining experience where flames dance over open wood grills and meals are designed to be shared. Heirloom corn masa, handmade tortillas, whole animal asado, and fresh ceviches express the culmination of heritage and progress.

Ámbar Restaurante also boasts more than 800 bottles of mezcals, tequilas, sotols, bacanoras and raicillas — making it home to the largest and rarest agave spirit collection in north america.

As the luminous beacon within the restaurant and hotel, The Bar at Ámbar Restaurante presents intimate seating beneath the two-story amber wall. A deep wine list of old and new world wines emphasizes the emerging white wine makers of Mexico. Artisanal mezcal and tequila makers have been enlisted for immersive sipping experiences, and an extensive draft program features proprietary beers created to complement the bright, fire-kissed cuisine.
